Job Description
• Assist in design and layout activities under the guidance of a Senior Designer.
• Utilize PDMS/E3D and CADWorx for piping design of skid packages.
• Draft and check detailed design drawings of piping systems and supports, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Prepare and check material take-offs and bill of materials.
• Create 2D equipment layouts, piping layouts, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics, and detail drawings using AutoCAD.
• Manage drawings and records to ensure compliance with QA activities for internal reviews.
• Establish effective working relationships and communication with discipline leads, department managers, and clients.
• Adhere to HSE requirements stipulated by the company and clients.
• Undertake any additional duties as required, with flexibility to adapt to changing tasks.
Qualifications And Requirements
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8-12 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in a similar position.
• Extensive experience in similar roles within EPC projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Basic piping design knowledge for process equipment such as separators, columns, exchangers, and fin fan coolers used in Oil & Gas projects.
• Piping design experience related to process skids and packages for upstream/midstream projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation 2D and 3D Modelling using E3D/CADWorx.
• Understanding of constructability, operability, and maintainability requirements.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, etc.).
• Familiarity with industry-standard drafting practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Strong work ethic and proactive drive to deliver projects within schedule.
