Scope of Work

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Equipment Expeditor to join our team for an FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to the project site. The role requires strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of procurement and logistics processes, and the ability to work closely with various stakeholders to meet project deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:

Coordination and Tracking:

  • Track and expedite the delivery of equipment and materials required for the FLNG project.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics teams to ensure timely shipment and delivery.
  • Monitor and report on the status of equipment and material orders, including potential delays or issues.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment orders, delivery schedules, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with project specifications, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and manage expediting reports, including updates on delivery timelines and status.

Communication and Problem-Solving:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and suppliers/logistics providers.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to the delivery or quality of equipment and materials.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between procurement, engineering, and construction teams to address any expediting concerns.

Inspection and Quality Control:

  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure equipment and materials meet project specifications and standards upon delivery.
  • Arrange for inspections and certifications as required.

Project Support:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of expediting strategies to optimize delivery schedules and project timelines.
  • Support the project team with any additional tasks related to equipment and material logistics as needed.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS) are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in expediting, procurement, or logistics, preferably within the oil and gas or FLNG industry.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using expediting and project management software.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.


Knowledge: Familiarity with FLNG operations and industry-specific regulations is highly desirable.


Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Potential travel to project sites, including offshore facilities.
  • May require extended hours depending on project demands.
