Scope of Work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the structural engineering team for FPSO projects across all project phases (concept, FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning).
  • Develop and review structural analysis, calculations, and design reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards (API, ABS, DNV, ISO, etc.).
  • Provide technical expertise on FPSO topsides, hull structures, modules, and mooring systems.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Piping, Process, Electrical, Marine, Safety) to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Review and approve structural drawings, 3D models, fabrication packages, and material specifications.
  • Manage structural engineering deliverables to meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews.
  • Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications, vendor documents, and construction submittals.
  • Provide technical support during construction, offshore installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, project standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct FPSO project experience (new build or conversion).
  • Strong background in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, or equivalent.
  • Familiar with international codes and standards (API, DNV, ABS, ISO, AISC, etc.).
  • Experience in both greenfield (new construction) and brownfield (modification/upgrade) projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, offshore installation, and load-out/transportation methodologies.
  • Previous experience leading a team of structural engineers on major offshore project
