Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Specialist Electrical Engineer to join our client team for an FPSO Suriname project. The successful candidate will bring 11-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a specific focus on FPSO and offshore projects. This role involves leading the electrical engineering activities, ensuring project deliverables are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee electrical engineering activities for the FPSO project.
- Ensure all electrical systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and maintained according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and review electrical engineering documents including schematics, drawings, and reports.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct electrical load studies and power distribution designs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor junior electrical engineers and provide training as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Prepare and present project status reports to clients and management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 11-15 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on FPSO and offshore projects.
- Proven track record of leading electrical engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Willingness to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the duration of the project.
