Scope of Work

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Formulate Regulatory Compliance Plan in ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements, company’s policies and other stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits and assessments to ensure the requirements for compliance are met.
  • Coordinate Facilities / Operations interface throughout transition to operational readiness.
  • Regularly reports Regulatory performance against set KPI’s for the project to the Project Managers and the Project Sponsor.
  • Interface Coordination: provide relevant feedback/input to contractors, such as construction/installation regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Assess, identify & mitigate regulatory / project risk that may impact project schedule, cost, variations by discussing way forward, action plans & recovery plans with production, operation and project team.
  • Review and monitor regulatory achievement with/by contractor to ensure project progresses within the key areas / milestones.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To ensure compliance with regulatory & permitting requirements applicable to onshore/offshore projects.
  • To undertake documentation, inspection, liaison, and procurement of timely regulatory approvals.
  • To ensure all relevant regulations / codes / standards which impact a Project’s phases of design, fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning, and operations are identified and secured.


KEY AUTHORITIES

  • Obtain (Malaysian) permits related to the development of onshore/offshore installations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on regulatory compliance for employees and facilitate workshops and seminars on regulatory topics.
  • Monitor, follow-up, and expedite the approval of required regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in Field Acceptance Tests (FAT) / Site Integration Tests (SIT).
  • Participate in facilities inspections activities at contractors’ fabrication yard.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree (or similar qualification) in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience with major oil and gas projects
  • Strong computer literacy; Spread sheets, Power point, Word, Project.
  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills
  • Strong team building skills
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
