Scope of Work

Role Context:


Reporting to the Head of T&C and Lead Engineering within the Technical Department, you will join a team of specialists. Your primary role is to organize, coordinate, control, and plan the testing and commissioning activities of equipment and systems in Data Centers.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Coordination of T&C Stakeholders: Coordinate all Testing & Commissioning (T&C) stakeholders from the design phase to the completion of integrated site tests.
  • Integration of Client Requirements: Ensure client requirements regarding methods, performance indicators, and testing programs are integrated.
  • Defining T&C Strategy: Develop a strategy for testing and commissioning to meet the project’s contractual objectives in terms of scheduling and validation.
  • Documentation: Demonstrate and document that the infrastructure meets the design intent in terms of safety, functionality, and performance.
  • Compliance & Prerequisites Management: Verify compliance with prerequisites during the construction phase and ensure that the sequence of commissioning and testing adheres to the general schedule and safety rules.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Act proactively to prevent any late-stage issues.
  • Scheduling: Propose and maintain a 3-week lookahead schedule (3WLA) during the T&C phase.
  • Technical and Methodological Optimization: Propose methodological and technical optimizations during commercial phases.
  • Testing Coordination: Monitor the test schedule and progress, handle documentation, and coordinate different technical trades (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.).
  • Client & Commissioning Agent Interface: Serve as the main contact for the Client and Commissioning Agent on all T&C-related subjects during the execution phase.


Secondary Duties:


  • Technical Support: Act as an Electrical Specialist during Commercial or Execution phases for risk analysis, design support, and alignment of equipment suppliers.


Profile Sought:


  • Education: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MV/LV) or MEP.
  • Languages: French, Ability to communicate effectively in English with client technical contacts.


Required Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong safety awareness during both design and execution phases.
  • Proficiency in managing the T&C process and the ability to identify and escalate risks.
  • Adaptability and communication skills to interact effectively with different stakeholders (designers, clients, production teams, vendors).
  • Ability to defend the company's interests and produce structured and rigorous reports.
  • Solid knowledge of the principles of testing and commissioning for industrial infrastructures.
  • Understanding of French electrical standards and principles of control and supervision systems (EMS, SCADA, BMS).
  • Familiarity with critical installations (redundant architectures, etc.).
  • Understanding of building-integrated systems (access control, fire detection, security).
  • Proficiency with electrical design software like CANECO HT/BT (knowledge of ETAP is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of office tools (MS Excel, PowerPoint) and principles of electronic document management.
  • Ability to read and optimize test schedules.


Location & Travel Requirements:


  • Position based in Guyancourt
  • Frequent travel expected in Île-de-France, Marseille, and potentially across Europe.


Position Details:


  • Contract Type: Long-term, with opportunities for development within the rapidly growing Data Center projects.
