Scope of Work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement material handling systems.
  • Analyze workflow, space requirements, and material handling methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, logistics) to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for automated and manual handling systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including layouts, system schematics, and operational guidelines.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of material handling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to material handling systems.
  • Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel.


Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in material handling within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing automated handling systems (e.g., conveyors, cranes, AGVs).


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of material handling equipment and processes used in oil and gas manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for system layout and design.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., API, OSHA, ISO 9001).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.


Software/Tools:

  • CAD tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
  • ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Simulation tools for material flow analysis (e.g., Arena, FlexSim).
