Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support a remote project involving the design and documentation of steel structures for an industrial facility in Australia.
The scope includes development of structural drawings, calculations, take-offs, baseplate design, and BOMs, using tools like StaadPro, AutoCAD (.dwg), and Excel (.xlsx).
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce structural design deliverables, including:
- Floor plans, steel layouts, typical details, and baseplate drawings
- Structural calculations and modelling
- Material take-offs and Bill of Materials
- Collaborate with other disciplines and support the preparation of procurement documents
- Follow the RASCI matrix and design standards as per project requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design (industrial or energy sector preferred)
- Proficiency with StaadPro, AutoCAD, and Excel
- Strong understanding of steel structures and international codes
- Able to deliver remotely with minimal supervision
