Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Instrument Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a 6-month + 6-month direct contract with our end client. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in FPSO, offshore, and EPC projects. This role requires immediate availability and involves leading the design, engineering, and integration of instrumentation systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Job Responsibilities:
1.Design, specify, and select instrumentation and control systems for FPSO and offshore projects.
2.Develop instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
3.Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, ISA, API) and project specifications.
4.Perform technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
5.Review vendor documents and provide technical recommendations.
6.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure system integration.
7.Support construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
8.Conduct FAT, SAT, and loop checking for installed instruments.
9.Provide technical support during procurement and installation phases.
10.Ensure adherence to HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
1.Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
2.10+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering within FPSO, offshore, and EPC projects.
3.Strong knowledge of field instruments, control systems, and safety systems.
4.Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, ISA, API, and ANSI.
5.Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and SIS systems.
6.Proficiency in instrumentation design software and tools.
7.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8.Immediate availability to join and willingness to be based in Kuala Lumpur for the contract duration.
