Job Title: Senior Project Manager / Team Leader
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (with periodic travel)
Duration: Long-term mission (48 months)
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for ensuring project outputs are delivered with high quality, on schedule, and within budget.
 - Lead and manage a multidisciplinary project team throughout the mission duration.
 - Serve as the primary liaison for local authorities, development finance institutions, and consulting partners.
 - Coordinate communication and alignment across all involved stakeholder groups.
 - Deliver regular progress reporting to public agencies, funders, and relevant parties.
 - Oversee institutional strengthening and capacity-building efforts for local transport authorities.
 
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Education:
 - Master’s degree (MSc) in Transport Planning, Business Development, or a relevant field from an internationally recognized university.
 - Professional Experience:
 - Minimum 15 years of experience in the development and operational management of large-scale public transport systems.
 - Direct involvement in at least two major projects involving the design and/or operation of high-capacity mass transit systems (e.g. inland waterways, metro, tram, monorail, BRT).
 - Proven experience in working with projects funded by international financial institutions (IFIs), especially in developing country environments.
 - Strong project leadership capabilities, including stakeholder engagement and multi-disciplinary team management.
 - Must be fluent in both oral and written English.
 
Additional Information:
- This is a long-term mission spanning 48 months, with occasional travel to Lagos required during the assignment.
