Job Purpose:
An EPC Contractor is seeking a Hull Living Quarter Field Engineer to join the team for the hull conversion activities at the CMHI yard in Nantong. The role focuses on overseeing the construction and installation of the living quarter systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications, addressing on-site issues, responding to technical queries (TQ), and working closely with Saipem France for complex technical matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all construction activities related to the living quarters on the hull conversion project.
• Resolve on-site issues pertaining to the living quarters and respond to TQs.
• Interface with the design team in France for significant technical issues.
• Ensure all construction works meet the project’s design specifications and standards.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team responsible for the living quarters.
• Participate in a familiarization phase in France prior to the start of work in China to gain understanding of the project design.
Requirements:
• Experience: Senior engineer with proven experience in designing and constructing living quarters in offshore or marine projects.
• Skills: Strong field problem-solving abilities, leadership experience, and effective communication skills.
• Familiarization Period: Candidates must be available for a familiarization phase in France for several weeks before starting the project in China.
Terms and Conditions:
• Status: Single status.
• Annual Leave: 51 working days per year.
• Working Days: 6 days per week.
• Accommodation: Provided in kind.
• Transportation (Accommodation – Yard – Accommodation): Managed by the company.
• Ticketing: 6 round-trip tickets per year.
