Key Responsibilities

Prepare DPM and RCD equipment for mobilisation and wellsite operations.
Perform equipment inspections, function tests and readiness checks.
Support the installation, rig-up, pressure testing, commissioning and rig-down of DPM/RCD systems.
Operate and monitor RCD equipment during drilling, tripping, connections and other well operations.
Monitor operating pressures, temperatures, seal performance, lubrication systems and overall equipment condition.
Service or replace RCD bearing and sealing assemblies when required.
Identify equipment abnormalities, leaks and operational deviations and take appropriate action.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and operational issues.
Maintain equipment checklists, service records, maintenance logs and operational documentation.
Coordinate with drilling crews, client representatives and other wellsite service providers.
Participate in pre-job planning, toolbox meetings and operational risk assessments.
Follow approved procedures, equipment operating limits and well-control requirements.
Maintain the required inventory of seals, bearing assemblies, spare parts and consumables.
Ensure compliance with company HSE, quality and regulatory standards.

For candidates engaged at Engineer level:

Review drilling programmes, operational plans and equipment configurations.
Confirm DPM/RCD equipment selection and rig-interface requirements.
Plan and supervise equipment installation, testing, commissioning and operation.
Monitor system performance and provide technical guidance during drilling operations.
Ensure RCD operating limits and pressure-control requirements are maintained.
Provide technical troubleshooting and operational recommendations.
Prepare contingency procedures for equipment or operational deviations.
Lead technical discussions, risk assessments and post-job reviews.
Prepare daily operational, equipment-performance and end-of-well reports.
Supervise and provide technical guidance to Operators and junior field personnel.
Recommend improvements to equipment reliability and service delivery.

Requirements

Technical certificate, diploma or bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Drilling or a related discipline.
Relevant field experience with RCD, DPM, MPD, underbalanced drilling, pressure-control or drilling equipment.
Hands-on knowledge of RCD installation, pressure testing, operation and maintenance.
Understanding of drilling operations, fluid circulation, pressure control and well-control principles.
Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting capability.
Able to interpret equipment drawings, technical procedures and operating manuals.
Engineering degree and experience in drilling hydraulics or MPD operations are preferred for Engineer-level candidates.
Strong HSE awareness and ability to work safely in a high-risk operational environment.
Good English communication and reporting skills.
Willing to travel extensively and undertake rotational assignments across East Asia.
Medically fit for onshore and/or offshore operations.
Valid IWCF/IADC Well Control, offshore survival, H2S or other relevant certifications would be advantageous.
