Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to join our team in Kerteh, Malaysia on a 6-month + 6-month direct contract with our end client. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in downstream, petrochemical, and EPC projects. This role requires immediate availability and involves supporting piping design, analysis, and execution within a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
1.Develop and review piping design, specifications, and layouts in compliance with project requirements.
2.Perform piping stress analysis and ensure system integrity for downstream and petrochemical projects.
3.Provide technical support for piping-related issues during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
4.Coordinate with other disciplines, vendors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
5.Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide engineering solutions to field-related issues.
6.Ensure adherence to industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
7.Support material selection, procurement, and piping system optimization.
8.Prepare technical documentation, reports, and participate in project meetings as required.
Job Requirements:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2.5 to 7 years of experience in piping engineering within downstream, petrochemical, or EPC projects.
3.Strong knowledge of piping design, material selection, and stress analysis.
4.Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI).
5.Experience with piping design software such as AutoPIPE, Caesar II, or equivalent.
6.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
7.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8.Immediate availability to join and willingness to be based in Kerteh, Malaysia for the contract duration.
