Scope of Work

Responsibilities


Lead a project as a focal point for E&I scope. Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective action. Expected able to work independently and able to do the decision making.

Monitor/Manage Design Engineering Company (DEC) support.

Establish Control Philosophy together with Process team.

Communicate with Process group regarding tagging, control and instrumentation related to the P&ID’s.

Develop and keep track of Instrument Index, IO list, ATSL and Load list.

Establish Automation system (DCS, PLC, etc) specification and IO requirements.

Prepare/Review Datasheet, RFQs and evaluation of quotations for subsequent Purchase Order placement.

Specify electrical item focusing on Lighting, Electric Heater, Thyristor Control Panel and Motor.

Develop and maintain other deliverables like, Power Consumption list, Interconnection Diagrams, Instrument Datasheets, Functional Logic Description etc.

Review E&I construction drawing like, Hook-up Drawing, Termination Drawing, Installation Details, Cable Block Diagram etc.

Review/approve supplier documentation.

Participate in HAZOP’s, SIL reviews, FAT etc as required by project.

Interact with client through project-approved channels clarifying technical issues and writing Technical Queries if necessary.

Interface with other disciplines, vendors, and required parties with E&I engineering input in support of activities in design of equipment, component and process systems. Particularly on mechanical package and E3D model review.

Assist and support during F.A.T./S.A.T./Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Be fully aware of personal workload in order to plan, organise and prioritise workload to ensure all document submission/issue dates required by contracts are maintained.

Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are always in full compliance.

Review bid documentation and give input to tender team regarding pricing, scope and planning.

Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.


Requirements


Bachelor’s degree (as a minimum) in a relevant engineering discipline such as: Electronics, Electrical, Control Systems, Telecom, Automation.

Minimum of ten years’ experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas or similar industry. Preferable with FPSO experience.

Knowledge of installations in Hazardous Areas, IECEx, ATEX, NEC, INMETRO.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and design codes like; API, ISO, IEC, ASME, NORSOK etc.

Knowledge in design of electrical small power distribution, lighting, motor and heat tracing, etc.

Knowledge in design of field instrumentation, actuated valve, Control system, F&G, Telecom, etc.

Knowledge in design E&I construction drawing and E&I bulk material MTO preparation.

Familiarity with hands on instrument installation, testing and calibration. Application of correct Instrumentation measuring principles to process/duty.

Team player and effective communication skill.

Capability to understand the impact on construction/installation during design phase.
