Our client is looking for a HVAC Lead Engineer for a 6-month project. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in HVAC design within the oil & gas industry and will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of HVAC systems for offshore wellhead platforms with Living Quarters (LQ).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HVAC system design for offshore wellhead platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Develop and review HVAC design documents, including P&IDs, ducting layouts, equipment specifications, and control system requirements.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural engineers, to integrate HVAC systems effectively.
- Perform heat load calculations, ventilation analysis, and equipment selection to optimize HVAC system performance.
- Ensure HVAC designs comply with international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, ISO, and relevant offshore regulations.
- Provide technical support during the procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required to verify design implementation and address technical issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10-15 years of proven experience in HVAC design for oil & gas offshore projects, particularly wellhead platforms with Living Quarters (LQ).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, equipment selection, and industry codes/standards.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software such as HAP, Elite CHVAC, or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with EPC project execution and coordination with various engineering disciplines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide project teams effectively.
