We are looking for a Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of laboratory services for a well-established environmental & industrial services company.
Your Mission
You'll drive sales strategies, manage key client relationships, and coordinate closely with lab chemists to ensure testing services meet both standards and customer requirements. This is a strategic and hands-on commercial role.
Job Description
- To manage business development activities and sales targets.
- To establish close relationships with lab services customers and expand new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the lab chemist to ensure that testing is conducted in accordance with both standards and customer requirements.
- To manage department P&L, meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; and initiating corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver a robust sales strategy to grow the laboratory services market share.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations and tenders.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual sales plans.
- Enhance and build productive long-lasting relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Maintain activity and interaction with customers.
- Work through customer issues, investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
- Good clear communication and presentation skills in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
- Must be self-motivated to find customers and establish close, long-term relationships.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and able to establish good relationships with people at all levels.
- Must have own transportation.
