Position Overview:
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Process Safety Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process safety and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct process safety risk assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA studies.
- Develop and implement process safety management systems and procedures.
- Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement safety systems and controls.
- Provide training and support to staff on process safety practices and protocols.
- Prepare detailed safety reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety engineering.
- Strong knowledge of process safety methodologies, standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience with risk assessment tools and techniques (e.g., HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA).
- Knowledge in using technical software (e.g. PROII, PHAST, HYSYS, PHAPro)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
