Project Overview
Our client are currently looking for an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to support a major brownfield revamp and rejuvenation project for a gas processing plant in Malaysia.
This role will be involved in both facility upgrade (revamp) and asset life extension (rejuvenation) scopes, covering key infrastructure such as compressors, analyzers, and substations.
Project Details
- Duration: 17 months (until ~31 August 2027)
- Office Location: Kuala Lumpur (KLCC vicinity – TBC)
- Site Location: Gas Processing Plant Santong (GPS), Paka, Terengganu
Scope of Work
1. Revamp Scope
- FEED & Detailed Engineering Design (DED) for upgrading existing facilities
- Integration of new systems (compressors, analyzers, substations, etc.)
- Structural modification and reinforcement of existing assets
2. Rejuvenation Scope
- FEED & DED for asset life extension
- Assessment of aging and deteriorating structures
- Structural integrity evaluation and upgrade recommendations
Key Responsibilities
- Perform civil & structural design for brownfield oil & gas facilities
- Deliver FEED and DED engineering calculations, drawings, and reports
- Assess structural integrity and propose strengthening solutions
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical)
- Ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications
- Support site-related engineering and technical queries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
- Proven experience in FEED / DED for brownfield projects
- Prior role as Senior Discipline Engineer in at least one project
- Strong experience in revamp / modification / life extension projects
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience in gas processing facilities or similar plants
- Strong understanding of aging asset challenges in brownfield environments
- Able to work in fast-paced EPC project environment
