• Specialized in ship Resistance, powering and propulsion, scantling design and structural assessments.
• Sound knowledge of various international regulatory rules such as IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, MCA (UK), US and Canadian Coast Guards.
• Excellent experience in design standards and class rules such as IACS, Lloyd’s Register, DNV, ABS, API, AISC, ASME, British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Great experience with all aspects of new design, modifications and repairs of a variety of ships and marine structures:
- Hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses, stability analysis, resistance and propulsion assessments, ship motion analysis, structural design and analysis, etc.
• Proficient in ship design and analysis software packages including ANSYS, Strand7, Paramarine, STAAD Pro, Autopipe, DNV Nauticus, PATRAN, FEMAP, AutoCAD, Rhino, Orca 3D, Mathcad and MS Office tools.
• Specialised in design and analysis of various marine structures such as FPSOs, FLNGs, LPG & LNG carriers, FSRUs, Semi-sub platforms, naval and commercial vessels including:
- Scantling calculations to classification society rules.
- Longitudinal strength analysis and shear flow analysis.
- Finite element analysis (FEA).
- Hull girder stress and deflection analysis.
- Design and optimization of Type C independent LPG/LNG tanks and ASME pressure vessels.
- Design and analysis of piping systems for LPG/LNG gas handling systems.
