Abd Latif has had twenty-two (22) years of extensive work experience in the oil and gas and heavy industries. He worked for MIMOS Berhad for four (4) years as Lead Maintenance Engineer, Eltron-Chromalox for two (2) years as Regional Technical and Sales Engineer, RNZ for five and half (5.5) years as Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer, ARMADA TPCE for two and a half (2.5) years, Leighton Engineering Sdn Bhd for one (1) year as a Lead Mechanical Engineer, Bumi Armada Berhad for two and a half (2.5) years as a Senior Package Engineer, HHA Sdn Bhd for one (1) years, AKER Solutions Sdn Bhd for one (1) year, Wood Group Mustang – seconded to HESS for two and a half (2.5) years as an Integrity Engineer. He is currently with EVER-RED Consolidated Sdn Bhd as Project Manager – Technical Advisor since February 2022. He has been involved in various stages of design such as Pre-Conceptual, Conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Design, Independent Design Assessment for Green Fields, Brown Fields, Debottlenecking Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning (EPCIC) and Operation Support. His background involves engineering design, project management and fabrication, which includes planning, scheduling, coordinating, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, maintenance works and integrity activities of mechanical equipment and piping work. His current post is Project Manager and Technical Advisor for EVER-RED Consolidated Sdn Bhd. He is familiar with a range of proprietary software including CAESAR II, PVElite, PDMS, AutoCAD, and familiar with relevant international codes and standards including BS, ANSI, API, ASME, NFPA, NORSOK, DNV as well as those of major oil and gas operators such as PETRONAS’ PTS, Shell’s DEP and ExxonMobil’s GS. Key Skills: • Design and review of mechanical static/ package equipment such as unfired pressure vessel, storage tank, fuel gas system, metering skid, heat exchanger, electrical heater and trace heating, closed/ open drain system, Fuel Gas Skid, Chemical Injection system etc. • Familiar with pipe design and pipe stress analysis. • Study, design, review and solve site problems involving modification, rectification and installation of equipment at onshore or offshore. • Provide procurement support such as Technical Bid Evaluation for equipment and packages. • Lead the installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of static equipment and skid packages/ modules at factory/shop and fabrication yard/FPSO. • Management and execution of RBI activities: Baseline Inspection (structural and piping), PSV recertification, Anomaly Register, Fabric Maintenance etc.
