About

About

As a long-standing admirer of TAQA, I am thrilled to see this opening for the Petroleum Engineer position. With my background in Petroleum Engineering (Surveillance Engineering & Reservoir Engineering) and my knack for achieving 100% completion of tasks within stipulated deadlines, I am confident I can help your team achieve its upcoming goals.

In my previous role at PETRONAS, I didn't just fulfill my duties—I looked for ways to add value. For instance:

  • When I initially joined the Surveillance team, I was given the task of replacing the previous engineer to determine Reserves in place for Annual Reserves documentation, along with multiple other necessary information; it was challenging due to the involvement of other Companies in the PSC and there were constant needs to request for documents from other Companies and also other teams within PETRONAS. However, despite the challenges, I managed to complete the task within a challenging time frame by proactively seeking assistance from the Company’s Technical Specialists and by extending my working hours to almost 14 hours per day for a week to prioritize the completion of this task.
  • I have joined multiple training programs to not only enhance my knowledge and skills, but to also provide valuable insights to the Company’s Surveillance routine jobs at six (6) different fields, especially in designing and executing production enhancement activities. I have contributed to production increment via multiple Gas Lift Valve Change projects.
  • In a Plugging & Abandonment project, I ensured thoroughly that the BCO volume in place is not economical to be produced to avoid a loss of opportunity for the Company.
  • I have outlined more details on my accomplishments in my CV.

I joined PETRONAS as a scholar and upon completing my education (Petroleum Engineering) in 2020, I was absorbed into PETRONAS as a HR Executive; this role enhanced my knowledge and skills in data management and management of multiple stakeholders, manpower supply companies, higher management within every department and also human emotions. I then moved into a Petroleum Economist position in 2022 which enhanced my comprehension on the bigger picture (revenue, profit, cost management aspects) of an Oil and Gas business. With an additional previous internship experience in 2019 in a smaller company that focused on market survey and bidding for projects related to the Petroleum industry, my role as Petroleum Economist with PETRONAS allowed me to deep dive and comprehend the Petroleum Industry in a more wholesome way. However, my interest was always in Petroleum Engineering itself (reservoir and well monitoring, tackling well or string issues, enhancing production, etc.) as I believe that these are the core aspects of an Oil and Gas Company. Therefore, I joined the Field Development Plan team and was later transferred to Surveillance Engineering as a Reservoir Engineer in 2024.

I am currently looking for a place where my skills can be further developed to be used in a high-impact environment, and your current trajectory suggests this is exactly that place. I am extremely intrigued to see this open position and I am looking forward to becoming a valuable member of your team. I have attached my resume for your review and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience aligns with the needs of your team. Thank you for your time and consideration.
