Akbar is a reservoir engineer with 8 (eight) years of industry and consultancy experiences in the field of reservoir management, integrated reservoir characterization, and numerical reservoir modeling & simulation with strong additional competencies in petrophysics, geomechanics, rock physics, and machine learning development. Akbar has broad international experience (onshore and offshore) in oil and gas field development and exploration projects in Hungary, Croatia, Norway, and Indonesia. Experience scopes at least 6 years in conventional reservoirs (clastic, carbonate, naturally fractured basement), and 2 years in organic-rich shale unconventional reservoirs both as an integrated reservoir engineer and petrophysicist. Specialist in advanced dynamic reservoir modeling for fractured basement and carbonate reservoirs (4 years' experience), rock and fracture typing, and permeability prediction. Succeeded in proposing 4 field development and exploration wells in Indonesia and Hungary with average daily rate +2000 boepd/well, strategized unlocking the mature field potential in Hungary, strategized the EOR and CCUS projects, and invented 3 new methods in rock-fracture typing, fluid saturation and permeability predictions, and fracture characterization workflow for complex reservoir rock properties which improve quality and accelerate the dynamic reservoir simulation process. Currently, Akbar is selected as an SPWLA Distinguished Speaker 2022-2023 in Fractured Basement Reservoir Characterization, Obtained various international achievements in research, also have presented and published more than 20 technical papers in various international journals and conferences.
