Structural Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct structural analysis and design for FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading) projects.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop structural engineering solutions that meet project specifications.
3. Perform calculations, simulations, and modeling using industry-standard software tools.
4. Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in structural design and analysis.
6. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings.
7. Support the procurement and construction phases by providing technical guidance and resolving structural engineering issues.
8. Monitor project progress and address any structural engineering-related challenges or deviations.
9. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations as required.
10. Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering practices and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SACS, ANSYS, or similar.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with FPSO projects and offshore structural design considerations is preferred.
• Eligibility to work in Malaysia for the duration of the project.
