1. KEY OBJECTIVES
• Support the Head, Commercial & Economics in negotiation and drafting contracts.
• Work as a liaison between the various departments in the KL office on commercial projects
• Oversee, enable, develop, and strengthen Company’s commercial relationships with PETRONAS and Joint Venture Partners (JVPs).
• Consider the commercial impact of business decisions with regards to the Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements, and other key commercial agreements
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure Client’s interests are protected in commercial negotiations.
• Lead and/or coordinate in commercial negotiations.
• Prepare and provide support with commercial proposals and scenario analyses.
• Review the commercial implications of business decisions.
• Coordinate response to queries from PETRONAS and JVPs.
• Ensure Company is well-represented at industry and trade groups.
• Assist the Head, Commercial and Economics with reporting and etc
3. KEY AUTHORITIES
• Responsible for the review of PSC’s, sales agreements, farmout agreements, JOA’s and other contracts.
• Responsible for presentations and communications with Petronas and JVPs.
• Responsible for contracts and commercial arrangement.
• Responsible for planning and tracking Client’s contract (PSC, GSA etc) performance.

5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience with Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Operating Agreements and Sales Agreements.
• Experience with commercial negotiations and economics.
• Strong teamwork, communications, and leadership skills.
• University degree (or similar qualification) in Engineering, Finance, or Law.
• Experience with major oil and gas projects.
• Experience in negotiating oil and gas contracts.
• Fluent in oral & written English.
Desirable
• Familiarity with the Malaysian upstream oil & gas industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
