Scope of work
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the design and optimization efforts for various rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Apply advanced engineering principles and utilize relevant software tools to enhance equipment performance.
• Manage and oversee rotating equipment projects from conception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Leverage a deep understanding of oil and gas industry requirements, standards, and best practices to guide engineering decisions.
• Ensure all designs and processes align with industry-specific safety and environmental regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in rotating equipment, implementing effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance reliability.
• Conduct risk assessments for rotating equipment systems, identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure safe operation.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering culture within the team.
• Maintain comprehensive records of engineering activities, including design specifications, calculations, and project reports.
• Ensure that all engineering designs and processes comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical rotating engineering, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.
• Proven expertise in designing and optimizing rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME) related to oil and gas operations.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software tools.
