Lead the mechanical design efforts for offshore projects, including static and piping systems, from concept development to implementation.
Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, layouts, and specifications for mechanical components and systems.
Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to validate the structural integrity, reliability, and performance of mechanical designs in offshore environments.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations governing mechanical design and offshore operations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff involved in the mechanical design process.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical meetings to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Support procurement activities by specifying materials, components, and equipment necessary for mechanical systems.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including engineering drawings, reports, and specifications, in accordance with project guidelines and requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on static or/and piping systems, preferably in the offshore industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools for design, analysis, and simulation.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to offshore mechanical design (e.g., API, ASME).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality mechanical designs within project timelines and budget constraints.
Ability to adapt to dynamic project environments and prioritize competing demands effectively.
Experience with project management and execution in the energy industry is highly desirable.
