During project: accountable to reviewing Unit Operating Manual (UOM) from EPCIC Contractor, support EPCIC to perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and plant performance test safely, in budget and as per project schedule. During Operations stage: accountable to operate plant in Safe Operating Limit (SOL) by controlling through DCS to deliver gas & condensate production as per target, safely, reliable and cost effective.
Responsibility
- Responsible for implementing PT LNG code of conduct, follow procedure and learning culture.
- Responsible for initiating, giving feedback and update Site Operating Procedure (SOP) for initial start-up, normal startup, shutdown, emergency shutdown, preparation for maintenance, re-instatement after maintenance and abnormal operations.

About the Role

- Prepare and deliver instrumentation and control engineering deliverables in line with project schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
- Develop instrumentation specifications for packages in coordination with package requisitioners and define supply/service scope and interface boundaries.
- Perform technical evaluation of vendor and supplier offers (PLC, instruments, cabling, systems, etc.).
- Carry out detailed studies and data gathering to support design development and ensure accuracy of deliverables.
- Support detailed engineering activities including hook-up design, layouts, routing, wiring, and installation details.
- Review and verify drawings produced by designers and drafters to ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
- Perform in-house instrument sizing and selection, and manage studies conducted by third-party vendors or subcontractors.
- Prepare, update, and check engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations, clarifications, and participate in bid clarification meetings.
- Review, check, and approve vendor engineering documents and deliverables.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, procurement, planning, QA/QC, and project support teams.
- Participate in client, vendor, and internal project meetings.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), site activities, construction, and commissioning works as required.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior instrumentation engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Electronic Engineering, accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia or approved equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of instrumentation and control engineering design experience for onshore and/or offshore projects (Senior Engineer level).
- Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, IEC, IOGP, ISA, ISO, etc.).
- Experience in EPC project environments, including vendor coordination and package integration.
- Exposure to site activities, FAT, and construction or commissioning support is an advantage.
- Preferably a registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel and be stationed at project sites or engineering centers, including overseas assignments if required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
