Job Overview:

Seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support offshore and onshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the selection, design, specification, and procurement of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and fans. This role requires expertise in engineering principles, international standards, and project execution for the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, select, and specify rotating equipment for offshore and onshore facilities.
• Perform technical evaluations and feasibility studies for rotating machinery.
• Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, and requisition packages.
• Review and approve vendor documents, drawings, and technical proposals.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, and ISO.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and coordinate with procurement teams.
• Provide support during fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to rotating equipment.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of API standards (e.g., API 610, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 673, API 682).
• Experience with rotating equipment selection, design, and performance analysis.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ANSYS, Bentley AutoPIPE, or similar.
• Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME, ISO, and NACE.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with offshore projects and FPSO systems is an advantage.
• Experience working with EPC contractors and engineering consultants.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Marine Engineer duties typically include the following activities, which can be undertaken independently or when assisting other Asset Team members:

1. Communicate effectively within a multidiscipline design team to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
2. Assist the project team with the management and safe offshore execution in accordance with policies and procedures
3. Implement engineering processes and procedures to ensure technical compliance to Petrofac's and Industry best practice engineering standards
4. All work is performed in accordance with legislation, class, flag and within the Safety/Facility Management Systems.
5. Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
6. Provide input to HIRAs, HAZOPs, risk assessments, method statements and other safety reviews as directed.
7. Ensure all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design codes. standards and legislation.
8. Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
9. Ensure accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports from third party are prepared and accurate.
10. Participation, control and assurance of correct implementation all project related Management of Marine related MoC's (engineering and offshore execution) as per Petrofac Management of Change Processes
11. Development, review and approval of project related procedures and methodologies
12. Engineering discipline assistance with reviewing third party deliverables to ensure alignment with Petrofac's project and operational standards.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Engineering discipline;

Job Summary

The Assistant Barge Engineer supports the Barge Engineer in managing the stability, ballasting, and overall operational integrity of the barge. This role assists in ensuring safe and efficient offshore construction, installation, and marine activities while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining barge stability, ballasting, and structural integrity.
• Support the execution of offshore installation, construction, and heavy lifting operations.
• Ensure compliance with marine regulations, safety standards, and permit-to-work systems.
• Assist in coordinating mooring, anchoring, and positioning activities.
• Conduct routine inspections of ballast control systems, marine equipment, and safety measures.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Certifications:

• CompEx, IECEx, ATEX certification (for hazardous areas).
• BOSIET, HUET, and Medical Certificate (if working offshore).
• Knowledge of PTW (Permit to Work) systems and HSE regulations.

Software & Tools Knowledge:

• SCADA, PLC, and automation systems (preferred).

Job Purpose: The Senior HSE (Drilling Operations) is responsible for overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects of drilling activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. This role involves developing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading safety initiatives to promote a culture of safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• HSE Policy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures specific to drilling operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a drilling HSE specialist role.
• Certifications: Recognized HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
• Additional Requirements: Familiarity with PETRONAS HSE-MS and Malaysian HSE laws and regulations is advantageous.

Academic Background: 

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geoscience.

Requirements:

This role requires specialized expertise in Subsea Structures, distinct from traditional or offshore structural engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in subsea engineering and a deep understanding of the design and analysis of subsea components and systems.
