HSE & Permitting Engineer - Jakarta, Indonesia

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled HSE & Permitting Engineer to join our team for an EPC/EPCIC project based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with extensive knowledge of onshore gas processing plants and pipelines, both onshore and offshore. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position for EPC/EPCIC projects is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE management systems in compliance with local regulations and international standards.
- Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure that all project activities adhere to HSE policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety among all project stakeholders.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for project activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, including but not limited to air quality, water management, and waste disposal.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulations affecting the project and advise management on necessary actions to maintain compliance.
- Identify potential risks and hazards associated with project activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential emergencies or disruptions.
- Provide guidance to project teams on risk mitigation strategies and ensure that risk management protocols are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of all HSE-related activities, including incident reports, inspection findings, and regulatory permits.
- Prepare regular progress reports on HSE performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that HSE documentation is complete and up-to-date, including permit applications and compliance reports.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for project personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by providing guidance and support to project teams on best practices for HSE management.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in HSE management, and incorporate new methodologies into project activities where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with specific experience in onshore gas processing plants and pipelines (both onshore and offshore).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position for EPC/EPCIC projects.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to the Oil & Gas industry in Indonesia.

Lead Flow Assurance Engineer France
Paris, France - Senior (5-10 years) - €500/day - Hybrid
The Principal Flow Assurance Engineer is part of the engineering team based in Paris and the wider global discipline engineering community they are associated with.
The Principal Flow Assurance Engineer will need to demonstrate relevant expertise in this discipline as per description below and is also expected to have additional competencies in CFD and/or Process allowing diversification of jobs in addition to Flow Assurance.
They should be able to perform engineering discipline tasks independently: analysis and report writing, requiring limited input and support from the Manager/Lead. Significant experience with the relevant simulation software for the discipline is a necessity for the role.
The work performed will be varied and activities include front end conceptual studies, detailed design and operational support activities often with direct interface with the Client. The role performs and sometimes leads engineering analysis to identify optimal solutions based on client drivers and be able to efficiently communicate these solutions through technical reports and presentations.

About You

- Minimum of 5-10 years dedicated to Flow Assurance experience using in particular OLGA.
- Experience in typical software is required such as OLGA, Pipesim, PVTSim, Multiflash, Ledaflow, Pipenet, Flowmaster, etc

Purpose of Job:
The Senior Engineer will be part of the engineering team based in Paris and the wider global discipline engineering community they are associated with.
The Senior Engineer will be part of the Technical Safety & Environmental team and thus will need to demonstrate relevant expertise as per description below.
The work performed will be varied and activities include front-end conceptual studies, detailed design and operational support activities. The role will be to perform Technical Safety & Risk assessments and analysis based on regulatory requirements, client standards and drivers, and to efficiently communicate these solutions through technical reports and presentations. - Experience in executing Risk studies including Consequence Modelling, QRA, FERA and EERA and risk-based design
- Experience in Loss Prevention (Active and Passive Fire Protection Philosophy, Blast protection, Fire & Gas detection, Hazardous area classification and development of design drawings).
- Experience in Safety modelling tools such as PHAST and others (e.g. Pipenet, SprinKCALC).
- Experience in Conceptual and Front-End engineering studies.
- Interest in mentoring young engineers.
