Job Title: Operations Manager (Production & Operations)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in Production & Operations and a minimum of 15 years in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) units and be capable of overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, with potential offshore visits as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily production and operational activities to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Oversee FSO operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective production processes.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations, industry best practices, and local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.
• Monitor production performance and troubleshoot operational challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and operational personnel.
• Report directly to senior management on production status, challenges, and key operational metrics.
• Support asset integrity management, ensuring maintenance and reliability programs are effectively executed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Production & Operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience in managing FSO operations.
• Strong knowledge of offshore production systems, equipment, and maintenance processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including offshore teams and external vendors.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related field) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) units is an added advantage.
• Prior experience working with an E&P Operator.
• Certification in HSE, process safety, or production operations is a plus.

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer with 10-12 years of expertise in Naval/Hull/Interface structure FEM analysis. This is a 3-month contract role based in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on FPSO design and analysis. The candidate must have strong proficiency in FEMAP/ANSYS, knowledge of ABS class requirements, and the ability to perform detailed structural assessments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct FEM analysis of Naval, Hull, and Interface structures.
• Perform structural analysis of module stools and hull interface structures.
• Analyze extension platforms for FPSO applications.
• Ensure compliance with ABS class requirements for FEM analysis.
• Deliver native analysis files to SPE while maintaining project documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Naval/Hull/Interface structure FEM analysis.
• Strong proficiency in FEMAP (preferred) and/or ANSYS.
• In-depth knowledge of ABS class requirements for hull and interface structures.
• Prior experience in FPSO design and structural analysis.
• Background in Naval Architecture.
• Must provide own software license and hardware.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compile standard data-book/certification package and coordinate with Customer/Third Party on delivery of data-book/certification package.
• Verify record/report completeness of data-book/certification package.
• Communicate internally with SBUs and external supplier for required work performance report.
• Coordinate with customers on data-book/certification package collection/delivery requirement.
• Maintain records of delivery transmittal, OTD performance & data-book/certification package on Company-DMS i.e., RigOffice, Tracker etc.
• Administer other quality record & documentation requirements.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Work collectively to achieve Quality's KPI.
• Update Job Distribution List to plan & achieve the OTD requirement.
• Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.

• Senior Marine Engineer to assist Lead/Deputy Lead Marine Engineer to prepare critical deliverables required for FPSO Barracuda early engineering phase.
• Key results expected are being able to develop various Marine Package specifications , Equipment/Packages Scope of work , include interfaces and various compliance requirements , Datasheets , manage Technical clarifications with Suppliers , and develop RFQ compliance matrix leading to TBEs with limited guidance as a hands-on Engineer.
• Prior experience of working in Petrobras Projects and awareness of Brazil regulatory compliance requirements . Commissioning and Operating knowledge of Marine Packages will add values.
• The candidate shall have at least 8 years’ experience in floating units’ marine systems for FPSOs, preferably worked in Petrobras FPSO Projects.

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in designing/drawing of Marine P&IDs and controls.
• Prior experience of working in FPSO Marine P&IDs design/drawing and interfaces with Topsides systems.
• Must be able to generate design concept drawing/detailing independently without much guidance.

• Senior Marine Engineer to assist Lead/Deputy Lead Marine Engineer to prepare critical deliverables required for FPSO Barracuda early engineering phase.
• Key results expected are being able to produce PFDs, P&IDs, Piping design, calculation, sizing, etc., with limited guidance as a hands-on Engineer.
• Prior experience of working in Petrobras Projects and awareness of Brazil regulatory compliance requirements .
• The candidate shall have at least 8 years’ experience in floating units’ marine systems for FPSOs, preferably worked in Petrobras FPSO Projects.

Experience

• Prior experience of working in FPSO Hull 3D modelling & Marine Piping modelling
• Very good knowledge of reading and understanding hull structural drawings.
• Ability to read and understand P&ID’s
• Knowledge of shipbuilding standards.
• Elementary knowledge of ship systems.
• Very good knowledge of E3D.

Scope of work

• Prepare Hull and ER structural model.
• Model topside/hull interface structures on the maindeck like stools, marine piperack structure.
• Allocate spaces for various equipment/walkways/material handling paths.
• Model Marine Piping based on Marine P&IDs and Hull Equipment Layout..

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Drafting:

• Create and update electrical and instrumentation (E&I) design deliverables, including wiring diagrams, schematics, loop drawings, and layouts in alignment with the company scope and standards.
• Develop detailed cable schedules, single-line diagrams, termination drawings, and panel layouts.

1. Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure all designs meet the company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow company-specific specifications for equipment integration and ensure adherence to project guidelines.

1. Software Utilization:

• Utilize AutoCAD, Aveva E3D, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), or other company-approved software for creating accurate and detailed drawings.
• Maintain proficiency in the company-specified software tools and deliverables.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in E&I design, preferably in Oil & Gas, marine, or industrial sectors.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
• Familiarity with NOV software and tools such as AVEVA E3D, SmartPlant, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of E&I systems, including wiring, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Understanding of hazardous area classifications and related standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx).

Job Description:

• Manages OCMs and provides the vision for a better offshore operation, planning and coordination

• Develop the overall construction plan for the project in conjunction with the project PEP.

• Oversees, manages, and document all day-to-day offshore operations including safety compliance requirement

• Communicate issues, events, performance and progress daily to the Head of Offshore Execution and PMT.

• Report any problems/issues promptly to the management to facilitate the most cost-effective solution

• Establish effective working relationships with PMT and Client

• Develop a high-performance offshore team through supervision, training, coaching and mentoring

• Ensures regular feedback is shared with subordinates including timely completion crew performance appraisal

• Assist in formulating and implementing the offshore construction schedule.

• Maintain the schedule and ensures that offshore work performed is consistent with the contract and will meet or exceed client expectation

• Communicate the project progress / outlook and any specific highlights regarding project including all technical, quality, HSSE or any other concerns / issues (internally at worksite and with management at HQ).

• Lead and ensure the implementation of HSEMS and QMS at worksite as per company’s and project’s specifications for safe completion and compliance.

• Ensure procedures/ plans as well as reports/ records are developed and produced for / during the mob / demob activities for execution as well as as-built documentations.

• Review and approve all site produced documents (procedures / plans & records / reports) and shall be the custodian / owner of the documents for single point approving as well to communicate and coordinate the essence to all respective PIC at the worksite, HQ and others.

• Take charge of the welfare and well-being of all crew and all personnel under responsibility as the worksite owner.

• Mentor / coach the personnel under supervision to increase the capability and capacity of personnel / team based on supervisory role to ensure personnel and team competency is at the required level (project / construction personnel).

• Evaluate and provide feedback on all construction / marine (where applicable) crew for each project for all aspects of work i.e. performance, capacity, gap and recommendations to ensure workforce is competent and for future records and database.

Mandatory

• More than 15 years as Offshore Construction Superintendent and overseeing offshore operations, including diving, ROV, survey, equipment management and marine spread coordination.
• 8-10 years as Construction Manager in managing construction operations, and ensuring successful project delivery within planned time and budget.
